The physical jail address is 328 South Beech Street, Arcadia, LA 71001. The official parish page names the sheriff as parish jailor and keeper of the jail docket. That wording gives requesters a precise record name instead of a vague request for “anything about release.”

Those figures show a small, older facility with a real local-and-state custody mix, but they do not prove today's count or a permanent contract arrangement.

The Bienville LAVNS roster and the sheriff's jail docket serve different time frames. During the research review, the roster offered an alphabetical filter, a last-updated time, and entries with name, date of birth, race, gender, and arrest date. It described the listed people as incarcerated and offered anonymous notice when custody status changed. It did not provide a release date, release reason, destination, or a historic released-person tab. Its own warning also said the roster was not an official public document and restricted copying or publication without agency consent.
Use that roster only to test present custody. If a matched name remains listed, the person appears to be in the current agency snapshot. If the name is gone, move to the sheriff's underlying record. The absence could reflect a lawful release, transfer, escape, death, spelling mismatch, delayed update, or a different booking identity. DPS&C says statewide LAVNS data updates every 24 hours, while the local page shows when its own snapshot last refreshed. Neither statement guarantees that a just-processed event appears at once. Call the jail for a recent change. Request the historic record for an older one.
Bienville Jail Property Records
Louisiana's booking statute makes property received part of the booking entry.
